Update to the Opinion Poll for an Amateur Association of EQHNC

As of May 22, 2009 there have only been two responses to the opinion poll in regards to an Amateur Association being affiliated with EQHNC. Those responses were positive for an EQHNC Amateur Association but due to lack of responses there must not be a strong enough interest among the rest of the Amateurs to try and do anything with this for this year. With the economy the way it is at this time that is very understandable. So, it will be tabled until there is enough interest to approach this idea again. If enough interest is generated at a later date then this can be revisited again. I urge the membership and the amateurs to think about this during the rest of this year and then if the membership wants to we can think about it for next year.

I also urge the members to submit your ideas to help make Eastern stronger and better to the Board. We do appreciate your ideas and any help that you give us. The EQHNC Board also, want to thank you for your support that you showed by supporting the Easter Bunny. The turnout was good and that made for a good but also a very relaxing and fun show.

We wish all of you good luck for the rest of the show season and don’t forget the Youth Show at the Lake in July and of course the Futurity at Thanksgiving.
Please send me your news so we can share with everyone.

Respectfully yours
Shirley Parrish 1st Vice President

WELCOME TO OUR NEW SPONSOR

Farm Tek

Our goal is to improve the stallion service of stallions donated to our service and to work toward making our Thanksgiving show (Turkey Circuit and Futurity) larger than in the past and as large as it was in the past. It was once the 4th largest show on the East Coast. Also to recruit new members to belong to an organization which belongs to the members.

EQHNC's objectives for 2009: Shall be to stimulate and regulate matters such as may pertain to breeding, exhibition, publicity, sale, racing or improvements of the AQHA breed.
